Junior UI Designer

The ideal candidate will have experience in creating mockups to present to teams, collecting feedback and creating a quality piece of work. This individual should be comfortable with building sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes to provide to project manners and inevitably execute based on outlined criteria. This candidate should have strong creative and design skills and be familiar with various design technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, user requirements, and business objectives.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gain valuable insights into user behavior and preferences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Develop high-fidelity designs on Figma for multiple screens/devices (responsive design) and browsers while aligning with brand guidelines and following good design practices.
  • Continuously iterate and improve designs based on user feedback, usability testing results, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless implementation of designs, maintaining a strong focus on design consistency and quality.
  • Promote design thinking within the development team and the wider organization
  • Keep up to date with current trends in visual communication and adopt new concepts

Requirements:

  • Some experience as a UI Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your design projects.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping in Figma.
  • Some understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first approach.
  • Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into design improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prefered: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development principles is a plus but not required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in UI design.
